Terms of Service

1. Who Can Use the Platform?

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@wr-games.com.

2. What Is the Platform?

WR-Games is a community platform for board game groups, organizers, and players. We provide tools for event management, group administration, game discovery, venue directories, and related community features.

WR-Games is a software provider. We do not organize, host, or control any events or groups created by our users. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or conduct of any user on or off the Platform. We provide the tools — you and your community decide how to use them.

Geographic Focus

WR-Games primarily operates in and serves users in the United States. The Platform, its features, and its legal terms are designed for a US-based audience. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

3. Your Account

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address and city
• Keep your account information up to date
• Not create more than one account
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes.

4. User-Generated Content

What is user-generated content?

Any content you create on the Platform — including profile information, forum posts, event comments, reviews, kudos, chat messages, group announcements, game collections, photos, and other contributions — is referred to as your "User Content."

Who owns it?

You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting User Content on the Platform, you grant WR-Games a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely in connection with operating and improving the Platform. This license ends when you delete your User Content or your account, except where your content has been shared with others or contributed to shared community spaces.

What are you responsible for?

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to post content that:

• Violates any law or regulation
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains personal or sensitive information about another person without their consent
• Is threatening, harassing, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory
• Is spam, advertising, or solicitation not authorized by WR-Games
• Contains malware, phishing attempts, or other harmful material

We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines at our sole discretion and without notice.

What happens to user content after account deletion?

If you delete your account, most of your User Content will be removed. However, content contributed to shared community spaces (such as forum posts in group threads or wiki-style contributions) may remain visible in an anonymized form. Other users may also retain copies of messages you sent to them.

5. Group Organizers

If you create or manage a group on the Platform, you are a "Group Organizer." As a Group Organizer, you are responsible for:

• The content and conduct within your group
• Managing membership, roles, and permissions for your group
• Ensuring your group activities comply with applicable laws and these Terms
• How you handle personal information about your group members that you access through the Platform

WR-Games provides the tools for group management. We are not a co-organizer, sponsor, or participant in your group's activities. You are independently responsible for your group.

6. Events

Events created on the Platform are organized and hosted by users, not by WR-Games. We provide tools for event creation, RSVP management, waitlists, Roll Call, check-in, and related features.

WR-Games is not responsible for:

• The accuracy of event information posted by organizers
• The safety, quality, or outcome of any event
• Cancellations, no-shows, or changes made by organizers or attendees
• Any disputes between organizers and attendees

Attend events at your own risk. We encourage organizers and attendees to communicate clearly and treat each other with respect.

7. Reputation, Trust, and Platform Features

Reputation and Trust Score

WR-Games includes reputation and trust features that reflect your participation and reliability on the Platform. These include Reputation Points (RP), Trust Scores, Dice Badges, and Kudos.

These features:

• Have no monetary value whatsoever
• Cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, or exchanged
• Are calculated based on your activity and behavior on the Platform
• May be modified, adjusted, or reset by WR-Games at any time and at our sole discretion

The methods and formulas used to calculate reputation and trust are proprietary and are not disclosed. We reserve the right to change how these features work at any time without notice.

Event Credits

Event Credits are a purchasable digital entitlement that allows you to host certain event types on the Platform. Event Credits:

• Are purchased through the Platform via Stripe
• Are tied to your account and are non-transferable
• Are non-refundable once purchased
• Have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
• May expire or be forfeited if your account is terminated for a violation of these Terms

We reserve the right to modify the pricing, availability, and functionality of Event Credits at any time.

Predictive Attendance

WR-Games may provide predictive attendance information to organizers based on historical platform data. These predictions are estimates only and are not guarantees of attendance. WR-Games is not liable for any decisions made based on predictive attendance data.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

WR-Games offers subscription plans for organizers. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis.

• Billing: You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for the plan you select. Annual plans are billed at a discounted rate.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds: Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at support@wr-games.com.
• Price changes: We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the Platform after a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
• Free tier: WR-Games offers a free tier with limited features. Free tier availability and included features may change at any time.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Create fake accounts, fake events, or fake groups
• Manipulate reputation, trust scores, or attendance records through fraudulent activity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, other users' accounts, or our systems
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform without our permission
• Interfere with the operation of the Platform or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• Circumvent or manipulate any feature flag, access control, or plan-based restriction on the Platform
• Use the Platform to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications

Violation of these terms may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account at our sole discretion.

10. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, features, code, branding, logos, and documentation, is owned by WR Inc. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Platform without our written permission.

"WR-Games" and the WR-Games logo are trademarks of WR Inc. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.

11. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Stripe, BoardGameGeek, Google Maps, and others. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. WR-Games is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

12. SMS Notifications

WR-Games offers an optional SMS notification program for users who provide and verify a phone number in their account settings.

Program name: WR-Games SMS Notifications

Description: Account verification one-time passcodes (OTP), event reminder notifications, and Roll Call check-in alerts for users who have RSVP'd to local board game meetups on the WR-Games platform.

Message frequency: Recurring; varies by user activity. Typical frequency is 0–5 messages per week, depending on event participation.

Message and data rates: Msg & data rates may apply. Message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to messages sent to or received from WR-Games. WR-Games does not charge for these messages, but your carrier may.

Opt-in: Users opt in by manually entering and verifying their phone number in account settings at wr-games.com. Verification requires entering a one-time code sent via SMS.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any WR-Games SMS message to unsubscribe. You may also disable SMS notifications in your account settings (Privacy tab) at any time. After replying STOP, your phone number will be unsubscribed at the carrier level and you will no longer receive WR-Games SMS messages. To resubscribe, reply START to the WR-Games messaging number.

Supported carriers: Compatible with major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: Your phone number is stored securely and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes. See the Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

13. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WR-GAMES DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY INFORMATION ON THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING EVENT DETAILS, VENUE INFORMATION, OR USER-GENERATED CONTENT.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WR INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO WR-GAMES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WR Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

16. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@wr-games.com and attempt to resolve the matter informally for at least thirty (30) days.

Binding Arbitration

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you and WR Inc. agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

Arbitration will take place in Washington, DC, unless you and WR Inc. agree otherwise. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver

YOU AND WR INC. AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Exceptions

This arbitration agreement does not apply to claims for injunctive or equitable relief, small claims court actions, or disputes relating to intellectual property rights.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may notify you through the Platform or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or extended inactivity. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to: Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law.
